THE SAMOAN CONGREGATIONAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH TRUST BOARD (BALCLUTHA)

Purpose: The purpose is to glorify God through worship, teaching, and service, while also nurturing the spiritual and cultural life of the Samoan people. It provides a place for communal worship, biblical teaching, and the practice of Christian sacraments such as baptism and communion. Deeply rooted in both Christian faith and Fa‘a Samoa (the Samoan way), the church plays a vital role in preserving the Samoan language, traditions, and values within a religious framework. It serves as a center for community life, offering guidance, support, and leadership through the respected role of the pastor (faife‘au), and often integrates with the traditional matai (chiefly) system. Beyond spiritual care, the church is also active in education, social support, and global mission work, shaping both faith and identity in Samoan communities around the world.
