Whakatika Services
Purpose: The purpose of the Trust Whakatika Services works to provide affordable mental health and relationship counselling to those who may otherwise struggle to afford these services. We do this by: - employing fully registered and supervised counsellors willing to work without being paid, or to be paid at a lesser rate compared with commercial hourly rates for counselling - keeping service overheads as low as possible - engaging management staff to develop new services and new sources of revenue - charging a reduced rate compared to commercial alternatives - providing services for free for clients who cannot afford to pay the reduced rate.
