Forgotten Felines Foundation
Registration number CC57985Sector: Care / protection of animalsOtaki
Purpose: The Forgotten Felines Foundation (F3) is an organisation whose primary mission is to help people within the community of Kapiti Coast (and nearby areas) with the stray and abandoned cat/kitten population. One of our trustees moved to Northland area, so have they have been assisting in this very under served area. However our main focus is still within Kapiti and Horowhenua areas We utilise “TNR” (trap-neuter-return) to maintain local Cat Colonies. Also, F3 has been assisting with low cost community de-sexing (and microchipping) . To offer a subsidized option to to our local areas, and address the barriers that would otherwise prevent people from getting their cats de-sexed. The low cost de-sexing has grown a lot in late 2022 onto 2024, but did slow down in 2025 and further into 2026 due to lack of funding and grants. However The idea is still to be the “ambulance “ at the top of the cliff rather than the bottom.
