Purpose: 1. To educate and inform school aged New Zealanders about global citizenship through their participation in the Kids for Kids concerts, NYLD events and other Trust programmes; 2. To advance and promote global citizenship within the community by encouraging schools and communities to participate in the Kids for Kids concerts, NYLD events and other Trust programmes; 3. To assist school aged children to develop self confidence, teamwork and leadership skills through their participation in the Trust programmes; 4. To encourage school aged children to acquire knowledge and skills in choir performance and the performing arts and to become musically aware and appreciative; 5. To promote the advancement of choir music and the performing arts within the community by the performance of public concerts within the community
