Bay of Islands Walking Weekend Charitable Trust

Purpose: To develop on more walking events to encourage residents and visitors to learn about the health benefits of walking and maintaining a reasonable level of fitness, and to more fully interact with the special local environment of the Bay of Island. To develop walking trails in the Bay of Islands area which will encourage residents and members of the public to participate and gain an appreciation of flora and fauna within local environment. To promote the health benefits of walking and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. To develop heritage trails and associated information material for local community and visitors to gain an appreciation thereof. To support the communities of the Bay of Islands through the development of activities which promote community well being. To raise and provide funding to any public or charitable body to assist in all and any of the above objects.
