The Chelsea Hospital Trust Board

Purpose: Provide an accredited hospital facility to undertake both ACC and other elective surgical services to its beneficiaries, being the community of Gisborne. The Trust re-invests surplus funds into its land and buildings, plant and equipment, technology and personnel to continue to maintain the highest standard of care and service. The Trust also has scope to apply residual funds to such Charitable purposes as the Trustees see fit, including charitable hospital care/services. The Trust also provides capacity for the public sector to outsource surgical procedures to address waiting lists on a collaborative basis.
