McCahon House Trust
Registration number CC10637Sector: Arts / culture / heritageAuckland
Purpose: The McCahon House Trust was established in 1999, to recognise the life and art of Colin McCahon during the transformative period the family lived in Titirangi 1953 – 1960. This is achieved through offering Parehuia, a residency of international standing, and preserving the McCahon House Museum as a place for the public to visit. Since 2019, the Trust has strengthened its focus on McCahon’s legacy as a gifted teacher, and also that of our Alumni, in new ways that connect cultural legacy and advance contemporary art practice in Aotearoa through education and international engagement.
